What is 'Bed and Breakfast' or 'B&B'

A lot of foreign tourists get confused by the term B&B or Bed and Breakfast. In reality B&B accomodation is a very variable standard which may vary from a Hotel that offers a set 'Bed and Breakfast' price but more often refers to a large private dwelling which has a few rooms it rents out on this basis.

Bed and breakfast accomodation generally (but not always!) has fewer facilities than would be offered by a 'proper' hotel but is still comfortable. Typically bath and toilet facilities will be shared between all the rooms on a floor, this is one of the major differences.

We have the review for one really good bed and breakfast establishment below but you will find a lot more in our Business Directory
